TAKUYA YOSHIDA

その後、Plymouth State Universityで絵画を学び、2013年にNew York Studio SchoolでMFAを取得。
Takuya Yoshida was born in Tokyo. At the age of seventeen, he moved to the United States on his own to pursue skiing, and while living in Maine, he became increasingly drawn to the beauty of the natural world. He later studied painting at Plymouth State University and received his MFA from the New York Studio School in 2013. After returning to Japan, he based his practice in Hokkaido before relocating to Tokyo in 2026.
Yoshida’s paintings often take as their subjects the quiet beauty and moments of happiness found in everyday life—sunset skies, rainbows, flowers and plants, animals, and human figures. Reimagined through memory and personal perception, these familiar scenes are transformed through vivid color and the rich texture of oil paint. While rooted in the visible world, his paintings evoke an intimate, almost idyllic realm that exists between lived experience and imagination.
