この度THE LOOP GALLERYは、2023年8月11日（金）から9月1日（金）まで、岩崎奏波の個展『MOTION・DECORATION』を開催いたします。
岩崎奏波は、動物や虫、植物、家などの日常的なモチーフと奇想天外な架空の生物がフラットに隣り合う、絵画空間だけが可能にする世界を、二次元的な構成により物語的・神話的に描くアーティストです。その特徴的な柔らかい線と色彩は、まるで錯覚のように空想と現実との間を行き来します。本展では、「装飾」と「絵画」の関係性に着目した作品を展示します。そこには絨毯や壁紙などの装飾が、窓辺をはじめとする日常的な景色と対比するように、躍動感を持って描かれています。
平面的な表現が持つ可能性への岩崎の探究は、装飾に命を吹き込み、境界線を曖昧にし、私たちを次元や時間という概念を超越した領域へと誘います。デジタル化が加速し、答えばかりを求める現代社会において、岩崎の絵画は、現実世界からそう遠くない未知の世界を覗き見る窓となり、人間の持つ感性や想像力の重要性を再考するきっかけとなるでしょう。
THE LOOP GALLERY is pleased to announce MOTION DECORATION, solo exhibition of Kanata Iwasaki from August 11 to September 1, 2023.
Iwasaki expresses narrative and mythic by mixing things around us such as animals, plants, houses and imaginary creatures through her two-dimensional composition, which is only possible to exist in pictorial space. The distinctive soft lines and color palettes create a deep sense of illusion.
This exhibition focuses on the relationship between decorations and paintings. There are decorations in the paintings such as carpet and wallpaper as a contrast of everyday scenery.
Iwasaki’s exploration of two-dimensional expression gives life in paintings and welcomes you to the other dimension.
In this modern society where we surrounded by digital contents and value only the truth, Iwasaki’s paintings provide an opportunity to reconsider the importance of our emotions and imaginations.

ABOUT THE ARTIST:
岩崎 奏波 Kanaha Iwasaki
1996年沖縄県生まれ、2022年に多摩美術大学大学院美術研究科博士前期課程絵画専攻油画を修了。東京を拠点に制作活動を行なう。
岩崎は、動物や虫、植物、家などの日常的なモチーフと架空の生き物がフラットに隣り合う、絵画空間だけが可能にする世界観を、二次元的な絵画構成により物語的・神話的に描く。
岩崎にとって制作は、絵画空間と現実世界との関係性や時空間の流れ、自分と他の生き物との境界線を探るプロセスとなっている。その柔らかな質感で描かれる世界は、鑑賞者によって神秘的、未来的、自然的にも捉えられ、絵画は鑑賞者が現実世界からそう遠くない未知の世界を覗き見る窓となり、扉となる。
Kahana Iwasaki was born in Okinawa in 1996, based in Tokyo and graduated from Tama Art University Graduate School of Fine Arts in 2022.
Iwasaki expresses narrative and mythic by mixing things around us such as animals, plants, houses and imaginary creatures through her two-dimensional composition, which is only possible to exist in pictorial space. Creative activity is the process for her to feel the boundary between pictorial space, time, and other creatures that exists on this planet.
The soft texture give viewers mystical, unpredictable but natural and Iwasaki’s paintings welcome you to the ultimate unknown world.
