小田川史弥（おだがわ・ふみや）
1996年神奈川県生まれ。2018年東京藝術大学絵画科日本画専攻卒業、2020年同大学院日本画専攻修了。
日常のささやかな瞬間を、幻想的でありながらも憂いを帯びた独特の世界観で描く。モチーフとなる人物や動物、風景は、自身の経験や旅の中で目にした光景に基づき、断片的な印象や心の痕跡がコラージュのように混ざり合い、ひとつの風景として構成される。
日本画で培われた繊細な感覚は、余白や間を活かした画面構成、緩やかに視線が流れる構図、滲むように重ねられた淡い色彩となって、絵画空間に静かな物語を宿す。「誰かと親密になるとき、同時にどこかで別の誰かが遠ざかっていくような感覚」に惹かれると語り、関係の儚さと、それを包み込むような優しさが同居する作品を制作している。
2019年の初個展以来、東京都内を中心に個展を重ね、2025年には台北でも個展を開催。One Art Taipeiをはじめとする国内外のアートフェアにも継続的に出展している。
2026年、国際的なアートコンペティションJackson’s Art Prizeにてacryl賞を受賞。国内にとどまらず国際的な文脈でもその評価が広がりを見せている。
Fumiya Odagawa
Born in Kanagawa Prefecture in 1996, Fumiya Odagawa graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts with a BFA in Nihonga (Japanese Painting) in 2018, and completed his MFA in the same discipline in 2020.
Odagawa captures the quiet, fleeting moments of everyday life through a distinctive visual language that is dreamlike yet tinged with melancholy. The figures, animals, and landscapes that inhabit his paintings are drawn from personal experience and scenes encountered during his travels. Fragmentary impressions and emotional traces are layered together, collage-like, into a unified landscape.
Rooted in the refined sensibilities of Nihonga, Odagawa's paintings make careful use of negative space and interval. The eye moves gently through compositions shaped by quiet rhythms, while translucent layers of color softly dissolve into one another, allowing quiet narratives to unfold across the painted surface.
Beyond technique, Odagawa is drawn to what he describes as "the feeling that as you grow closer to someone, somewhere, another person is quietly slipping away." His paintings inhabit this delicate tension between the fragility of human connection and the tenderness that surrounds it, inviting viewers into spaces where memory, emotion, and time remain fluid rather than fixed.
Since his debut solo exhibition in 2019, Odagawa has exhibited regularly in Tokyo and internationally, with a solo exhibition in Taipei in 2025 and continued participation in art fairs including One Art Taipei. In 2026, he received the Acrylic Prize at the Jackson's Art Prize, an international art competition, reflecting the growing international recognition of his practice.

小田川史弥は、現代を生きる人々の何気ない日常を幻想的でありながらもどこか憂鬱で怪しく、夢や思い出の中のような優しさと不鮮明さを持って描きます。人間の内面を視覚化しているような、丸みを帯びたストロークや、うねるような背景は、鑑賞者を絵画空間の中へ渦のように引き込みます。
また、視界を思わせる構図の中には、確かな人と人との繋がりが感じられ、誰もが共感する存在やストーリーが存在します。
小田川の絵画は、孤独が覆う現代社会を生きる私たちに「人は他者と記憶を共有しながら生きていること」を再確認させます。そして、それぞれが心の中に存在する曖昧な記憶と向き合い、そこで懐かしい誰かとまた出会うのです。
Odagawa captures the inescapable feeling of urban loneliness through his soft brushstrokes with its dreamy but mysterious setting. The undulation background project a deep sense of visualization of our mind. A gentle stroke of ethereal ensures the viewer can fully experience the beauty of the connection between people.
His artworks remind us that we live in this lonely world while sharing memories. Memories can only live in our minds; the only way to meet someone you used to know again.
