この度、THE LOOP GALLERYはオープニング展示として、水戶部七絵、高山夏希、土井沙織、渡部 未乃、岩崎奏波によるグループ展「IN THE LOOP」2022年5月13日(金)〜5月31日(火)を開催い たします。
IN THE LOOP is the inaugural exhibition of THE LOOP GALLERY. A group exhibition featuring works by Nanae Mitobe, Natsuki Takayama, Saori Doi, Mino Watabe and Kahana Iwasaki.
一斗缶に入った油絵具を豪快に手で掴み、重厚感のある厚塗りで人を描くことで人種や性別、資本主義に至る社会問題を考察する水戶部七絵、注射器を用いた独特の表現で、人間と動物、環境が一体化する世界を描く高山夏希をはじめ、建築資材や顔料により、可愛らしくも残酷であり、どこか崇高な世界を壁画的に描く土井沙織、色鮮やかな自然を直線的に表現することで自然と人工、有機と無機という対極な関係性の中間を描く渡部未乃、自分と他者との関わり合いの中で生まれる心の境界線を、独自のドリーミーな質感の中で描く岩崎奏波の作品が一堂に介す、エネルギー溢れる展示です。注目を集める5名の女性アーティストの“今”にフォーカスした本展を皮切りに、今後も本ギャラリー は独自の目線で現代アートシーンを捉え、国内外の新進気鋭のアーティストの感性や発想に触れる展 示を発表していきます。
Nanae Mitobe grubs oil paint straight from a five gallon square can and by coating her paintings thick and splendid, she considers social issues such as race, gender and capitalism. Natsuki Takayama uses a needle to express her own perspective on integration with humans, nature and the environment. Saori Doi uses construction materials and pigments to express a cute but cruel atmosphere in mural-inspired paintings. Mino Watabe drew the colorful nature in a straight line to indicate the middle of the opposite between nature and manmade, organic and inorganic. Kahana Iwasaki expresses boundaries in mind throughout human relationships with her dreamy style of painting.
